Finally! It's time to let the last raffle start because lot of friends were already complaining why we revealed our choice to some and to others we didn't XD The veil needs to be lifted soon but of course we still have these great prizes for you, so grab your last chance to participate :D
This time -in our last raffle- you have to guess what we will do as our Finale Costumes at World Cosplay Summit 2012!

If you send us the correct answer you have the chance to win:

1x Super Pokémon Rumble für 3DS
and

3x  a Giant Microbe of your choice!

Sponsored by:
 and

But let's have a look at the actual riddle!

Seriestip:
It's a classic. It's funny as hell. And it's officially doing things by halves!

Charactertip:
Well one is more of a boy, the other...well ;)

Genretip:
As the creator once put it: Everything is Martial Art!

Bonustip:
Because these will be our final-costumes we would be very happy about many entries in this last raffle so you'll even get an extra-tip. A little picture hint :D

Well, any idea what characters those could be? ;)

As we all know, every character has got tons of outfits and for all the riddle loving people out there we got a little extra riddle:

Costumetip:

The costumes are closely tied to a play. Here's an quote from it:
  • "Good Night, Good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night till it be morrow."
Don't worry, if you don't know the exact costumes, that's no problem. You only have to guess the characters and series to participate. The extra riddle is just for good fun ;D

If you already got it and know what we're hinting at with the tips, write the solution via Mail to

Gewinnspiel@rainbow-riders.com
or send a private LJ-Message ;)
(Because some one E-mail entry was lost the last time we will give you a quick feedback mail if we received your Mail. If there is no answer just write another Mail and/or contact us via Twitter, LJ-message or any other social media platform and we'll check if we just didn't see it or it really got lost. Just give us a day to check and answer everything ;) )

Subject: "Finalcostumes"

Deadline: 04.06.2012

We will announce on our  Twitter-Account after the deadline when we will do a livestream to draw the lucky winners with a bit of help of random.org.

After that you will find the winners announced in our Animexx-Weblog and of course on our Livejournal.

Attention:
We are not asking any personal information of you at your participation in the raffle so after the winner announcement we need feedback of the winners within 5 days (via ENS, LJ-Message, other social media platforms or just a Mail to  Gewinnspiel@rainbow-riders.com).
If we don't get feedback within these 5 days we will draw a new winner for your prize.

After we received your feedback we will talk about your prizes -what Giant Microbe you want if you won one ;D- and get your address so we can send you the game or the Giant Microbe over.

Questions are welcome, just post a comment or write a message/an E-mail and we will answer your question as soon as possible. But please keep in mind that you are not allowed to post possible or the correct answer because we have to disqualify you then.

And last but not least:
The rules
1. Only correct answers (the two characters and the series!) will be put in the raffle.
2. We will choose the winners with their nicknames. The address and contact informations will be managed after announcing the winners.
3. International participants are welcome for the Giant microbes :)
4. People who already know the correct answer from the team itself are not allowed to participate and NOT allowed to share the correct answer with anybody who wants to participate. This should go all in good fun so please be honest :)
5. Depending on the number of participants the deadline could last longer than formerly announced.
6. People who will present the correct answer in the public comments will be disqualified immediately.
7. You can participate by sending a private message via the platform on which you have seen this raffle or send an E-mail to Gewinnspiel@rainbow-riders.com

Have fun and good luck everyone!
We're looking forward to hear from you soon :)

Hello everyone! Finally we can present you evidence that we aren't the lazy bones that we seem to be. It's time to show some stuff!

We want to wear Zelda and Link at Dokomi 2012 and because we finally made the last fabric order we're optimistic we will make everything in time. Although we have to admit that the collar of Link's tunic actually was a little bitch and had a true vengeance on our 'Abloobloo-everybody-gotta-laugh-at-us-because-of-our-easy-wheezy-costumes'-attitude...

But let's start with showing all the cool stuff.  This is the wonderful Link wig (
Sakura - natural blond by the way ;) Click the link to see it), still a virgin and untouched:

And here - also from myCostumes - the
Mondelfenohren (For elves with a moon face):

Directly after announcing the costumes the underwear....uh...tights...uh...TROUSERS came to life. Here you can see the pattern and the cut out fabric:

It wasn't that hard because we're in the superhero business as well and know how to deal with Lycra and skintight ;D (and with that we mean we had a pattern for stuff like this.)

The shirt was pretty similar in the making. Okay it isn't really a big secret. Pattern, long sleeves, sew it together. Almost done.

Somehow Link doesn't feel comfortable yet...although it's so pretty what is already done:

The collar of the white shirt will be made out of non-elastic fabric but it needs to get adjusted to the tunic when it's done. And this is why we directly hop to the green beast.

We cut the pattern roughly out on our lovely christened "Asshole-fabric".

The whole thing was put on Max, pinned together and sewn. After that we used the fabric pieces as a new pattern. This was copied to the desired fabric, cut out and of course ironed with so much love:

Front and back are sewn together, in with the sleeves, everything was fine, no problem at all...Until the collar. It was more complicated than assumed and yes, took a lot of while longer than we thought and wanted. :/

Here it is, only with the border:

And FINALLY the collar itself - still fixed with pins:

And with that Link was finally greenified. It isn't completely done yet but at least the main work was finished.

All of the shown parts, worn all together (okay, the hat isn't the finished one, it's an old one Max pulled out of nowhere for the photos):

And the improvised sword and shield combination:

Well, that's it for now, more will follow soon, til then:

Stay tuned!

Same Rainbow-Channel, same Rainbow-Time! :D

Real life got a firm grip at us at the moment, but we still try hard to keep up!

Have two new Rainbow Adventures comics ;D
"The Rest of the year" and "Daily life"
(Remember they are pretty old by now...done around January, finished for Max's study project about the WCS ;) )

The last one is btw Max's favorite episode ;D

Stay tuned for more!
A Zelda+Link WIP entry will follow soon ;D

(Yeah, we know we promised more Sayaka/Homura staff but Zelda and Link need to be finished first because we're wearing them already on another convention ;) )

Hey everybody! Sorry we didn't write something in quite a long time, but we finally recovered from meeting Tom Hiddleston -Claud was kinda delirious, that's an good excuse, right?- so we can finally give you some new contain.
We just announced in our livestream the winner AND costumes for our Parade raffle. The four lucky winners already contacted us over at animexx.de so we can skip the announcing the winners part and move on to the former Parade costumes ;D
But still: CONGRATULATIONS to the winners and a big thank you to our sponsors for the great prizes :D
 and

And now on to our Parade costumes....
Tadadadaaaa~

"Parade" Costumes

Max as Link from Ocarina of Time and Claud as Zelda from Oracle of Seasons.

Zelda will get a few details of the Ocarina of Time version (like the more complicated pattern of the blue 'flag' and the details of the armor parts.) but the basic design will be copied from the Oracle of Seasons version.
We just thought that the Oracle of Seasons version is a bit more up to date and also looks a lot like a Chibi-Version of Ocarina of Time Zelda ;D
Also Claud loved the idea to continue her costume-with-cape-series to give a little hint and nod towards our supheropassion ;)
But see for yourself:

And now, why we chose the costumes:
It actually took us a lot of time to decide on the Parade costumes (you could see that in our comics XD). We searched and didn't find anything what we hoped for and then Max sat there, with a nostalgic stare into sweet nothingness while playing Ocarina of Time, saying: "Ha...it would be so cool if we just did Zelda and Link..."
And Claud liked the idea. The costumes met our idea to just cosplay stuff we know and like :D

And because Max always wanted to do a good Link costume and dreamed since childhood to wear him again (first time was at carnival XD) we decided happily on them.
Of course, it will be unbelievable hot and we're going to be mad because of all the sweating but at least Link will carry some blue, green and red potions with him ;D

Thank you to everybody who participated! The next and last raffle will follow very soon, as well as new comic strips!

Stay tuned :D

After Animuc (we were present with our Showgroup booth there and helped behind the stage :) ) we finally got some time to blog something...and because it's Wednesday it means...yeeees...you get a new comic :D

Actually we wrote an E-mail but a phone call looks much more dramatic, doesn't it? XD

In the next entries you'll see Team Mexico and further WIP pics of Homura and Sayaka :D
Oh and don't forget: The deadline of the second raffle soon comes to its end ;D

So stay tuned :D

So we finally made a WIP entry to satisfy our stalker's needs and to show that we aren't just lazy bones :D

Before we started our working room was changed into a sewing room. We thought it would help us to keep our flat tidy and clean because after the work has been done we could just close the door and don't see the mess anymore XD  (It didn't work that well...we cut the fabric in the living room and well...there was still some stuff lying around ^^; )

But that's how our sewing room looks if it's tidied up:
(people who visited us were already surprised that this room magically appeared seemingly out of nowhere...but it was always there - just a big mess and more a closet than a actual room XD)

Then we downloaded a pattern making program because there was a shirt pattern for free available. We had to print it out on a loooot of paper sheets and then cut it out and glue it together with tape.

And this is how it looks like:

before                                                                                          after
We decided that Sayaka's gloves should be made out of our white artificial leather despite the japanese hot summer. We used a pattern that was a bit to large for Claud's small fingers so it had to be changed quite a bit to make it more fitting.

This is how the cut out fabric looked like:

And pinned together with the finished thumbs:

The thumbs alone needed a whole hour to get them perfectly fitting.
And a little mistake was made with one of the middle parts of the fingers. There were misplaced a bit. Normaly that wouldn't be a problem but leather is unforgivable concerning mistakes because the stitch-holes stay for everyone clearly to see :(
So we will just finish the other glove first and check if the pattern really was right before using the pattern again to cut out a second glove :)
Because the motivation dropped by then there isn't a pic of the finished gloves yet^^;

A good chance to go to Homura.

After a long search we finally found the right shoes for Homura. There aren't in the right color (the same shoe in the right color didn't fit that well...strange, isn't it?)  but luckily that won't be a problem. The shoes get a "fabric-skin" anyway because the 'tights' of Homura doesn't show any seperation of tights and shoes.
We also bought a really cute and glittering alice band:

As the next step, Max painted the pattern of the underskirt onto the fabric:

And here's the result still without the quillings. (Nightwing's catsuit had to double the future Homura tights for the photo. Without them it wouldn't have been possible to give a first idea what the finished ones will look like ;))

Aaaaand that's it from our sewing room. We still got some pics but these are from costumes we haven't announced yet so they will have to wait some more ;)
(Oh btw you can still participate in our raffle and guess what costumes we will wear :)).

As the finale we added another picture from two fabrics. They will be used for Sayaka's breast part and for the things she wears upon the skirt and the shoes. They both were really cheap and a great offer! The fabrics are both artificial leather and only costed 2 € per meter. All other colors were about 10€...
Now have a look :D :

Left: Shoes, Right: Breastpart + Skirt-thingies

We will continue as soon as we get a bit more done.
(soon= very soon, a bit= hopefully a lot ;))

Stay tuned!

Same Rainbow-Channel, same Rainbow-Time! :D

Although it's still Easter-Monday we gladly present to you...
TATATATATATATAAAAA~
Team Denmark:

Samie and Josy
(One click will lead you to their DevArt Profiles)
And because they're good girls, here you got a lot to stalk again:

Facebook-Fanpage:
WCS Team Denmark
Blogspot Blog: WCS Team Denmark

Have fun with those, there's always something new to discover :D
Performancevideo:

One great magic trick follows another in this skit and the 'Sorcerer's apprentice' works wonderfully well as the main theme :D
There are some really remarkable beautiful effects like the snowstorm-fan and the magicstripes at the end.
We especially loved their mimic and great charisma on stage and the humoristic final really hit our taste and obviously the jury couldn't agree more with us!
So there's only one thing left to say:
CONGRATULATIONS!!
Next in the spotlight: Team Mexiko

Finally another comic :D
This time:
Our Costume Choice!

But luckily it worked out in the end and we found our costumes ;)

Yeah! And another Update, this time our summary of our TiCon :)

Well, and that's it ;) Just to let you know, the copied TiCon Flyer in the first panel was also drawn by Max so no other artist goes uncredited ;)

The TiCon was really great although we weren't able to spend as much time with all the wonderful people as we would liked to do. >,< It's always like that: You think you have all the time in the world and BAMF the convention is over and you haven't seen each other again U___U

And with that we posted all our conventions reports for 2011 *yeah* :D  In the next entries we will write a text report about the bookfair in leipzig and we will continue to present the other WCS Teams :)

So all what's left to say is:

Stay tuned :D
